Our Fabrics & Certifications
Looking for the bigger picture?
This page explains the certifications behind the fabrics I use. To learn more about how Eco Intimates approaches sustainability, ethics and small-batch production, visit my Eco & Ethics page.
At Eco Intimates, I choose fabrics that feel beautiful against your skin while also considering their environmental impact.
Because I work in small production runs, fabric certifications can vary depending on what is available to smaller brands. Rather than making broad claims, I prefer to be transparent about the fabrics I use and the certifications supplied by my fabric manufacturers.
Organic Cotton
Many Eco Intimates pieces are made using certified organic cotton fabrics.
Some of the organic cotton fabrics I use are certified to the Organic Content Standard (OCS), which verifies the organic content in a finished textile product.
Certificate preview shown below is supplied by the fabric manufacturer and relates to the fabric used in selected Eco Intimates garments.

OEKO-TEX® Certified Fabrics
Many of my coloured organic cotton stretch fabrics and organic cotton jerseys are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 tests textiles for a wide range of harmful substances, helping ensure the fabric is suitable to wear against the skin.
Certificate preview shown below is supplied by the fabric manufacturer and relates to knitted fabrics including cotton/elastane blends used in selected Eco Intimates garments.

Other Natural Fabrics
Across my collections, I also use natural and lower-impact fabrics such as:
-
100% organic cotton
-
100% cotton voile
-
silk
-
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose
Each fabric is chosen for comfort, breathability and suitability for the design.
A Note on Certification
Eco Intimates is not certified as a business by these organisations.
The certificates shown on this page are supplier certificates provided by the fabric manufacturers. They relate to the fabrics used in selected Eco Intimates garments, not to Eco Intimates as a certified company.
I share this information so you can understand more about the materials behind your pieces.
